CUSTOM WIGS FOR ALOPECIA: DANI’S STORY
About Dani G
I received my alopecia diagnosis at just 18 months old–making me a long-time wig wearer and a huge advocate for comfort and quality over anything else. Having worn wigs for over 20 years, I’ve been through all of the wig stages: scratchy and stiff lace, bulky caps and harsh hairlines complete with synthetic off-yellow hair. It took time and perseverance, but I eventually found the freedom and confidence that comes with wearing a natural, beautifully crafted custom wig for alopecia.
And so DMUSE was born. I was driven to share this incredible feeling with other women on a hair loss journey. I needed to reframe the identity crisis that comes with seeing your hair slip through your fingers in strands and clumps. I didn’t want to create wigs that took away from your natural beauty, but instead gave you back control and a sense of identity. Our wigs promise to be a safety blanket during times of vulnerability and a freeing symbol of self-expression when creativity calls.
