How to choose the perfect wig

Step 1: gather your inspiration

You can create your dream wig or choose from any of our current/past wig designs. We can also work from your inspiration images to create your desired colour and cut. Custom wigs are made to order and therefore can take 8-12 weeks to complete.

Step 3: Choose your cap type

Glueless lace front cap

Our glueless wig caps feature a 13×6" HD lace front, anti-slip silicone strips, V-wired ear tabs, and adjustable straps with a removable elastic band for a secure, beginner-friendly fit. Best styled in low buns or ponytails for a seamless look. watch video

Glueless full lace cap

Our glueless full lace caps, made with HD lace throughout, are perfect for up dos and versatile styling. They feature added crown material for strength, adjustable straps, a removable elastic band, and optional combs. The extended lace at the nape ensures a natural look even at the nape. The silicone coated wired ear tabs and transparent adjustable strings around the back of the wig allow for glueless wear. watch video

Lace front cap

Our lace front caps feature a 13×6" HD lace front, closed wefted back, adjustable straps, and a removable elastic band for added security. With optional combs and easy wearability, they work well with existing hair. For styling, low buns or ponytails are recommended to keep the back seamless. watch video

Full lace cap

Our full lace caps, made with HD lace throughout, are perfect for sleek high ponytails and versatile styling. They feature added crown material for strength, adjustable straps, a removable elastic band, and optional combs. The extended lace at the nape ensures a natural look with adhesives for flawless updos. watch video

Step 4: choose your hair density

When we talk about density, this is the thickness of the hair and how heavy it may feel. This is very much personal preference but we do offer a few different density options at DMUSE. We recommend choosing density based off the length of the wig (to match the length with the thickness). Hair density varies by cap type. Full lace caps hold less hair (up to 270g or 250% density at 28″) due to individual hand-tying, while lace front and glueless caps can hold more (up to 480g or 300% density at 30″) thanks to sewn-in wefts. Density decreases with shorter lengths.

150% density

This is our thinnest density available – we would recommend this if you want the hair to feel a little lighter and not too heavy – a perfect summer option.

180% density

This is our medium type of density and is often the most recommended as it is a middle of the road option if you are unsure.

200% density

If you like a slightly thicker feel to your hair, we can offer 200% density. This is also great for longer units to give a luxurious feel.
